cleversoft Completes Acquisition of FS Assist to Expand Insurance Reporting Footprint

Munich/London, 2 September 2026 – The cleversoft group, a leading RegTech provider for financial services, today announced that it has completed its acquisition of FS Assist, the UK-based regulatory reporting specialist for insurers and pension providers. First announced on 11 August 2026, the transaction has now closed following satisfaction of customary conditions.

Founded in Edinburgh in the late 1990s, FS Assist has spent nearly three decades as a family-owned pioneer of Excel and XBRL-based regulatory reporting for the insurance industry.

Its SII Assist solution produces Solvency II submissions for insurers across the UK and 18 other European Economic Area countries, while its Syndicate Report & Accounts products serve the Lloyd’s of London market. That specialist depth is now part of cleversoft’s Supervisory Reporting division, reinforcing the Solvency UK, IORP and Lloyd’s Syndicate reporting expertise available to insurance clients across Europe.

With the transaction closed, FS Assist’s approximately 350 European insurance and pension clients gain immediate access to cleversoft’s full regulatory compliance platform, spanning Supervisory Reporting, Financial Crime Prevention, Financial Messaging and Digital Advisory & Compliance. The combination brings cleversoft’s total client base to more than 1,550 financial institutions across banking, insurance and pensions – one of the broadest compliance footprints among European RegTech providers.

As previously announced, the entire FS Assist team joins cleversoft, preserving the regulatory expertise and client relationships. Customers will continue to work with familiar teams and tools, including SII Assist and Syndicate Report & Accounts, while gaining access to cleversoft’s wider portfolio of solutions, such as SCR calculations. The acquisition also provides the backing to develop new solutions such as for IRRD resolution reporting, which is due next year.
