By Lauren Towner · 4 September 2026

Zurich Insurance Company (Singapore) Ltd. (“Zurich Singapore”) today announced two senior appointments to strengthen its Commercial Insurance leadership in Asia Pacific: Patrick Fyson as Head of Property, Asia, and Dylan Bryant as Head of Zurich Multinational & Captives, Asia Pacific. Both appointees are based in Singapore.
These leadership appointments underscore Zurich’s focus on building a class leading Commercial Insurance business spanning the Asia Pacific and its long-term commitment to this important region.
Head of Property, Asia
Patrick joins as Head of Property, Asia. In this role, he will lead Zurich’s Property underwriting function across Asia, with a focus on shaping and executing the underwriting strategy, driving sustainable growth in line with the region’s ambitions, and further strengthening Zurich’s in‑country underwriting capabilities.
Liam Burrell, CEO Singapore & Head of Commercial Insurance, Asia, said: "Patrick’s strong technical skills, in-market international trading experience, and leadership skills position him well to lead the next phase of growth for our Property portfolio in Asia. His background in managing complex property portfolios across multiple markets will be invaluable as we continue to grow our commercial business in Asia and support customers with comprehensive risk solutions."
Patrick is a seasoned Commercial Underwriting leader with deep property underwriting, portfolio management and leadership experience gained in roles spanning Singapore and the United Kingdom. He joins Zurich from Canopius Group, where he most recently served as Head of Property Direct & Facultative, APAC & MENA. Prior to that, he spent over nine years at Tokio Marine Kiln, holding a series of increasingly senior roles, strengthening his technical foundation in property underwriting and risk selection.
He will report to Liam Burrell, CEO Singapore & Head of Commercial Insurance, Asia.
Head of Zurich Multinational & Captives, Asia Pacific
Dylan has been appointed to the newly created role of Head of Zurich Multinational & Captives, Asia Pacific, which brings together regional leadership of Zurich's multinational programmes and captive solutions. He will lead the Multinational & Captives business across Asia Pacific, overseeing outward, inward and international programmes, as well as captive fronting and related solutions, and will drive strategy, performance and service delivery in the region while strengthening Asia Pacific's contribution to Zurich's global multinational and captives network.
Sean Walker, APAC Head of Commercial Insurance and Chief Technical Officer, Asia Pacific, said: "Multinational organisations across Asia Pacific are facing increasingly complex, interconnected risks as they expand across markets. Dylan’s appointment – and his return to Zurich – further strengthens our ability to deliver coordinated, compliant and commercially effective solutions across both multinational programmes and captives. His strong understanding of complex commercial risks, combined with his experience across insurance, broking and corporate risk management, will be invaluable as we continue to grow this important part of our business."
Dylan brings extensive commercial insurance experience, with a particular focus on complex risks. He most recently served as Executive Manager, Group Insurance at Commonwealth Bank and has held previous roles including Director and CEO of Swiss Re International SE in Hong Kong, as well as senior positions at Aon and Lloyd's. He previously spent more than a decade with Zurich from 2002 to 2014 in underwriting and multinational-focused roles, during which he played an important role in developing Zurich's multinational business in Asia Pacific.
He will report to Sean Walker, APAC Head of Commercial Insurance, with accountability to Chief Technical Officer, and Carin Gantenbein, Global Head of Multinational Network Management, and will join the APAC Commercial Insurance leadership team and the Global Zurich Multinational team.
