Zentist Launches Vault to Automate Dental Insurance Lockbox and Revenue Cycle Workflows
By Lauren Towner · 9 October 2026

Zentist has launched Vault, an automated lockbox solution designed to streamline the processing of insurance checks and Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) for dental organizations. By digitizing the manual reconciliation of paper-based insurance payments, the tool addresses a critical friction point in the revenue cycle, offering carriers and providers a more transparent path from claim settlement to cash application.
What was announced
Zentist introduced Vault as an extension of its Remit AI platform, specifically built to handle the manual "upstream" portion of the dental revenue cycle management (RCM) process. While many Dental Support Organizations (DSOs) still receive a high volume of paper checks from insurance carriers, traditional bank lockboxes often fail to integrate the accompanying EOB data into the provider's workflow. This leaves revenue cycle teams to manually review documents, identify payers, and track deposits across multiple systems.
Vault functions as a dedicated lockbox service that receives these checks, captures both check and EOB data, and generates Image Cash Letters (ICLs) for digital deposit. The system provides real-time visibility into the status of a payment from the moment it is received through to its final reconciliation and transfer. Key capabilities of the new solution include:
- Dedicated insurance lockbox services
- Automated check and EOB processing
- Image Cash Letter (ICL) generation for digital deposits
- Real-time payment status tracking
- Visibility by payer, location, and payment status
- Reconciliation and lockbox reporting
- Payment posting into Practice Management Systems (PMS)
- Multi-location support for DSOs and dental groups
Unlike traditional bank lockboxes, which primarily focus on the physical deposit of funds, Vault provides operational visibility and workflow automation around the entire lockbox process. This helps revenue cycle teams spend less time managing paperwork and tracking payments and more time focusing on exceptions and performance. The launch represents a move toward a more connected workflow between payment receipt, payment posting, and accounts receivable management. Vault is available immediately for dental groups and DSOs.
"At Zentist, we've always focused on helping dental organizations remove friction from their revenue cycle workflows. Vault builds on that mission by automating the operational work that happens between receiving a check and posting a payment. Organizations can now improve visibility, reduce administrative burden, and scale more effectively without reinventing their existing processes."

The companies involved
Zentist is a technology provider focused on the dental sector, specifically targeting the complexities of revenue cycle management. The company’s primary offering, Remit AI, is designed to use artificial intelligence to automate the processing of insurance remittances, which historically has been a labor-intensive aspect of dental practice administration. By centralizing data from various insurance payers, Zentist aims to provide dental groups and DSOs with a clearer picture of their financial health and operational efficiency.
The company operates in a market where Dental Support Organizations (DSOs) are increasingly seeking enterprise-grade tools to manage dozens or hundreds of individual practice locations. Zentist’s focus on the "last mile" of the insurance payment process—reconciling the actual funds received with the claims submitted—positions it as a bridge between the clinical side of dentistry and the financial requirements of insurance carriers. Under the leadership of CEO and founder Ato Kasymov, the firm has expanded its suite to include Autoposting and now Vault, creating an end-to-end automated workflow for dental insurance payments. This focus on practical automation helps dental groups scale their operations without a proportional increase in administrative headcount or reliance on fragmented bank portals.
What this means from an insurtech perspective
From an insurtech perspective, Vault highlights the persistent "paper problem" in dental insurance, where legacy payment methods continue to hinder operational efficiency. For carriers, the slow adoption of fully digital remittance by providers creates a transparency gap; even if a carrier issues a payment, the lack of automated reconciliation at the provider end leads to administrative friction and inquiries. This launch puts pressure on incumbent banking lockbox providers who offer generic services without the deep EOB data extraction required for insurance-specific workflows. It suggests that the next wave of dental insurtech will focus on tightening the integration between carrier disbursements and provider ledgers to reduce administrative overhead and improve the accuracy of loss ratio reporting. For MGAs and carriers, better provider-side reconciliation tools mean fewer disputes and a more streamlined claims value chain.
