Sure, the global AI-native insurance technology leader that unlocks the potential of digital insurance, and Recoop Disaster Insurance, the nation's first and only multi-peril disaster insurance provider, today announced an expanded partnership that moves Recoop's disaster insurance program onto Sure's AI-native insurance platform. The expanded program gives Recoop policyholders a self-service path to coverage, modernizes payroll-deduct billing for employer-sponsored enrollment, and streamlines Recoop's go-to-market across its distribution channels. The program is now live in 46 states, with the remaining states expected to launch subject to state approval.

Recoop's disaster insurance program pays a lump-sum cash benefit of up to $25,000 following a covered natural disaster, including hurricane, tornado, earthquake, winter storm, dust storm, wildfire, and gas explosion, closing gaps left by traditional homeowners and renters insurance. Recoop reaches policyholders across four distribution channels including direct-to-consumer, embedded voluntary benefit partners with payroll-deduct enrollment, independent agents, and mortgage-linked coverage. Built on Sure's technology rails, the expanded partnership gives employers, partners, and policyholders a faster, more transparent path to enrollment, while equipping Recoop's team with modernized infrastructure to streamline operations and scale into new markets.

"Disaster insurance has always depended on getting people covered quickly and paying claims just as fast, and that starts with the technology infrastructure underneath the policy," said Wayne Slavin, CEO of Sure.

"By enabling the customer experience Recoop requires, we've brought their entire enrollment, payments, and payroll-deduct billing live on our platform in record time, and we're helping Recoop scale a product that genuinely helps families recover after a disaster, without adding friction for the employers and brokers who offer it."

"Our policyholders sign up for Recoop because they want a straightforward way to protect themselves against the gaps disasters expose in their existing coverage," said Charlie Turri, CTO of Recoop Disaster Insurance.

"Sure's AI-native insurance platform lets us modernize how people enroll and pay for that protection and move into new states faster, so more families have access to a benefit that gets them back on their feet after a disaster."

The expanded partnership pairs Recoop's disaster insurance product with AI-native insurance technology infrastructure designed to support growth and a better policyholder experience.

  • Policyholders can get a quote and enroll directly through a self-service digital experience
  • Payroll-deduct billing is modernized to support employer-sponsored enrollment at scale
  • Payments processing moves onto Sure's platform, supporting faster, more reliable billing and payment operations
  • The program is live in 46 states, with the remaining states expected to launch subject to state approval
  • Recoop's team gains real-time visibility into enrollment and payments as the program scales

The expansion reflects a broader shift in employee benefits toward modern, self-service insurance infrastructure, including replacing manual enrollment and payment processes with automated, scalable systems built for growth.
