HIVE Underwriters Taps Richard Brown to Lead Global Property D&F Launch

Independent specialty MGA HIVE Underwriters has announced the appointment of Richard Brown as Head of Property. Brown will lead the launch of the firm's global Property Direct & Facultative (D&F) business, a move that further expands HIVE's underwriting capabilities across global specialty markets.

Brown previously served as Head of UK and International Property at Sompo. With more than 30 years’ experience in UK and international property insurance, he brings extensive market expertise and a strong track record of building and leading high-performing underwriting teams.

At HIVE, Brown will lead the development of a new team focused on writing a global Property D&F portfolio. The launch marks a further step in HIVE’s expansion as a multi-class specialty underwriting platform, bringing its knowledge-led approach to the property market.
