Neutrinos Debuts Kamios to Bridge the Gap Between AI Demos and Regulated Production
By Lauren Towner · 2 October 2026

Neutrinos has launched Kamios, a governed agentic AI orchestration platform designed specifically for the rigorous compliance demands of insurance and financial services. For fintech professionals, this launch addresses the "production gap" where AI agents often fail during complex hand-offs between legacy systems and human approvals, offering a framework to scale autonomous agents with full traceability.
What was announced
Kamios is a new orchestration platform that allows insurers, banks, and financial services firms to deploy AI agents that perform real-world tasks within their existing core environments. The platform is designed to coordinate these agents alongside human staff and legacy systems, ensuring that every action taken by the AI is governed, metered, and attributable. This addresses a significant hurdle in enterprise AI adoption: the loss of control and unpredictable costs associated with running agents through multi-step processes involving various rules and approvals.
The platform operates through six governed layers: Declare, Ground, Orchestrate, Act, Govern, and Improve. In practice, a team defines the rules of a process in plain English, which then serves as a "mandate" for the AI agents. This mandate dictates exactly what an agent is permitted to do and identifies the specific points where it must stop to seek human intervention. This shared record between agents and people allows for model-agnostic deployment, meaning any AI model can be utilized for the specific task it is best suited for, all while running within the customer’s own secure environment.
The effectiveness of this approach has been demonstrated through several production programs. At one Tier-1 insurer, straight-through processing for new business increased from 2% to 35%. Another Tier-1 carrier saw its claims automation rise from 45% to 78% without the need to replace its underlying core platform. Currently, six client programs are live on Kamios, covering use cases such as customer onboarding, KYC, claims adjudication, travel claims, and credit decisioning. For financial firms, this transforms AI costs from vague estimates into precise line items, reconciled per case and per mandate.
"Agents do not fail in the demo. They fail on the third hand-off, when a case crosses a legacy core, a rule nobody wrote down and a person who has to sign. We built Kamios so that the authority an agent acts under, the evidence it acted on and the cost it incurred are written into every decision as it happens. That is what lets a regulated business run agents at scale with the control, traceability and economics a board can stand behind."

The companies involved
Neutrinos is an AI automation and orchestration company that specializes in helping enterprises in highly regulated industries navigate digital transformation. The company is led by co-founders Samik Ghosh, who serves as CEO, and Suresh Chandrasekharan, the Chief Technology Officer. Neutrinos has carved out a niche in the market by focusing on "coreless" transformation, allowing large-scale organizations like banks and insurance carriers to modernize their workflows without the high-risk process of replacing foundational legacy technology.
The company’s approach is characterized by a high degree of technical integration; every deployment of its technology includes Neutrinos engineers who work alongside the client’s internal team to build and hand over the initial workflows. This model is intended to ensure that the value of AI implementation compounds as the organization moves from one production use case to the next. By focusing on the "rules-heavy" environments of insurance and banking, Neutrinos positions itself as a provider for firms that require absolute auditability and evidence-based decision-making from their AI investments.
What FF News has reported before
FF News has documented Neutrinos’ consistent expansion within the insurance and health technology sectors over the last two years. In June 2026, we reported that Neutrinos Launches Group Medical Onboarding and Underwriting Solution, a specialized tool for the life and health market. The company’s technological contributions were previously recognized when Neutrinos Wins AI and Machine Learning Innovation Award at InsurInnovator Connect Vietnam 2025. Additionally, the firm has been active in fostering industry-wide innovation, as seen when Neutrinos Launches Global Venture Studio and Reimagining Risk Startup Challenge in late 2025. We also covered regional adoption of their core technology, notably when Mutakamela Insurance Company Selects Neutrinos Platform to Digitize SME Health and Motor Insurance Journeys.
What this means
The launch of Kamios represents a shift in the fintech narrative from "experimental AI" to "operational AI." By providing a platform that explicitly manages the "third hand-off"—the point where AI usually breaks against legacy infrastructure—Neutrinos is addressing the primary reason for the high failure rate of agentic AI projects. This development puts significant pressure on traditional Robotic Process Automation (RPA) vendors, whose tools often lack the cognitive flexibility to handle complex, non-linear decisions in regulated workflows. The industry must now determine if these governed mandates provide enough transparency to satisfy regulators, potentially opening the door for widespread autonomous operations in banking and insurance.
