Aviva has launched a new MGA hybrid fronting proposition through its dual platform Global Corporate & Specialty (GCS) business, expanding its capabilities in one of the insurance market's fastest-growing areas.

Combining Aviva's trusted brand, strong financial ratings, global reach and specialty underwriting expertise, the proposition offers MGAs a differentiated hybrid fronting solution. Operating through a stand-alone P&L with London-based decision-making, it provides a single, coordinated platform for multi-country, multi-line insurance programmes.

Targeting larger, established MGA facilities, the proposition is designed to support opportunities from £20 million GWP upwards.

“We're bringing something different to the MGA market by combining fronting capabilities with meaningful risk retention,” said John Andrews, Aviva’s Head of Global MGA Hybrid Fronting.

“As demand grows for partners that can support international, multi-class programmes, our hybrid model gives MGAs, brokers and reinsurers a single route into Aviva's global reach, specialist underwriting expertise and financial strength,” Andrews added.

“For MGAs, that means access to a fronting partner with the credibility, flexibility and balance sheet strength they need to attract and retain capacity support.”

The proposition forms part of Aviva's broader ambition to expand its presence across the global Commercial Lines market. It will initially focus on classes where Aviva already has established underwriting expertise.
