Verisk and Qantev Partner to Transform Health and Life Insurance Underwriting in APAC and GCC Markets
By Lauren Towner · 17 September 2026

Verisk (Nasdaq: VRSK), a leading strategic data analytics and technology partner to the global insurance industry, and Qantev, an AI claims intelligence platform for health and life insurers, today announced a collaboration for insurers in the Asia-Pacific and Gulf Cooperation Council markets designed to help health and life insurers make more precise underwriting decisions while improving claims efficiency. The shared capabilities are intended to support more informed risk assessment, more tailored pricing and broader access to cover for applicants with existing medical conditions.
The collaboration brings together Verisk’s Health Risk Rating Tool, which helps insurers assess declared existing medical conditions and generate data-driven risk scores, with Qantev’s AI-powered claims platform. Together, the capabilities can help insurers reduce reliance on broad exclusions where more personalised assessment is appropriate, which could improve access to cover, while also giving claims teams tools to identify potential fraud, waste and abuse more efficiently.
“Our collaboration with Verisk helps address an industry challenge: how to safely expand insurance coverage in a complex world,” said Tarik Dadi, CEO and Founder of Qantev. “By combining Qantev’s claims intelligence with Verisk’s established risk assessment capabilities, insurers can better connect underwriting and claims decisions, helping them pursue profitable growth while supporting broader access to cover. We are excited to help the market transition away from rigid exclusions and toward smart, data-backed protection.”
"Health insurers are looking for practical ways to expand access to cover without compromising underwriting discipline or claims control,” said Iain Howie, Managing Director of Life, Health, & Travel at Verisk. “For decades, Verisk has helped insurers bring deeper data, advanced analytics and insights to complex risk selection and pricing decisions. By pairing that foundation with Qantev’s claims automation and decision-support capabilities, we can help insurers make more informed decisions across the policy lifecycle and better serve customers with complex health profiles.”
