Sixfold, the underwriting AI trusted by global insurers, today announced Distribution Intelligence, giving insurers the data and recommendations they need to proactively manage their distribution.

Distribution Intelligence starts with the data Sixfold already has: submissions, the risk signals behind them, and how they play out as decisions and outcomes in the field. That gets traced back to brokers, where Sixfold evaluates on submission volume, quality, appetite fit, hit ratio, and overall portfolio impact.

Once a baseline is set, underwriting leaders set growth targets, such as building out a specific class or geography, or improving hit ratio or submission quality. Sixfold's agentic system takes it from there, recommending which broker relationships to lean into, which to realign, and where opportunity is sitting untapped.

"Every underwriter has a mental list of their best brokers and their worst. What they lack is the data to quantify it, and the visibility into the middle-of-the-pack brokers where real growth opportunity lies. Distribution Intelligence turns that instinct into something the whole organisation can act on, from the leader setting the strategy to the underwriter making the next call," said Tony Rosa, Chief Data & Analytics Officer at Sixfold.

Distribution Intelligence feeds directly into Sixfold's AI Underwriter, actively shaping the recommendations an underwriter sees on each submission. If a broker has strong production in a class the carrier is trying to grow, Sixfold recommends prioritising their next submission ahead of others competing for the underwriter's time. If a case fits a growth target but exceeds the underwriter's authority, Sixfold recommends it for referral, attaching the relevant context so the reviewing manager has full visibility.

Distribution Intelligence is good news for brokers, too. "When a carrier can see clearly which brokers are the right fit, everyone spends less time on business that is never going to work. That's good for both sides of the table," said Jonathan Crystal, Managing Partner at Crystal Venture Partners and former Executive Vice President & Managing Director at Alliant Insurance Services.

Distribution Intelligence is the first capability in Sixfold's Portfolio Intelligence Suite, turning the signals hidden in a carrier's broker, submission, policy, and claims data into a compounding view of their book. The more data that connects, the more underwriters are able to write each risk with the full picture in view, and the more leadership is able to steer the portfolio toward profitable growth.

Distribution Intelligence is available now.
