Jewelers Mutual® Group, the policyholder-owned insurer and business solutions provider for the jewelry industry, has announced that Scott Murphy will retire as President and Chief Executive Officer at the end of 2026. The Board of Directors has named Mike Alexander, the company’s current Chief Operating Officer, as the next President and CEO.

The transition plan ensures a stable leadership handover over the next two years. Murphy, who joined Jewelers Mutual in 2015, has overseen a period of significant growth and digital transformation for the 111-year-old company. Alexander will assume the role of President immediately, while Murphy continues as CEO through the end of 2026 to facilitate a seamless transition.
