DXC Technology Unveils AI-Driven Modernization Strategy for Global Insurers and London Market
By Lauren Towner · 8 October 2026

DXC Technology has launched a suite of AI-driven capabilities and platform enhancements designed to accelerate digital transformation within the insurance sector. This development is critical for insurance technology professionals as it addresses the industry-wide challenge of integrating advanced automation and artificial intelligence into legacy environments without compromising the stability of mission-critical core systems.
What was announced
Unveiled at the DXC Connect Insurance Executive Forum in London, the new investments center on the company’s "Protect, Extend, Transform" strategy. The primary focus is the expansion of the DXC Assure Platform, which now includes the Assure Configuration Manager. This tool utilizes low-code, configuration-driven deployment to help insurers assemble and deploy architectural components more efficiently. By reducing the complexity of introducing new capabilities, the tool allows (re)insurers and brokers to respond faster to market shifts while maintaining operational control.
The announcement also highlighted the growth of Assure Smart Apps, which are designed to automate specific business priorities across underwriting, claims, and distribution. Since their introduction one year ago, DXC has secured 18 new Smart App customers, supporting more than 450 insurers. The broader Assure Platform now serves over 275 customers. The scale of these operations is significant: the capabilities have already processed more than 750,000 automated transactions and digitally extracted over two million pages of data.
Furthermore, DXC is targeting the London Market by integrating Assure Platform capabilities with the London Market Core Platform (LMCP). This includes the deployment of a Workflow Assistant to modernize how information is routed and tracked across the market. These enhancements are also being applied to DXC’s Life & Wealth Business Process Services (BPS) operations, which currently manage 11 million policies and process $11 billion in annual payments.
"Insurers are under pressure to modernize faster, unlock new opportunities with AI, and respond to changing market demands without disrupting the systems that run their businesses. By combining deep insurance expertise, secure platform services, connected workflows, and Smart AI, DXC is helping customers modernize on their terms, extend the value of existing investments, and create a stronger foundation for future growth."
Ray August, President, Insurance Software and Business Process Services at DXC Technology.
The companies involved
DXC Technology (NYSE: DXC) is a global enterprise technology provider that functions as a major innovation partner for the financial services industry. The company specializes in managing and modernizing the mission-critical systems that underpin the global economy. With a deep footprint in the insurance sector, DXC provides both the software and the business process services (BPS) required to handle high-volume policy administration and claims processing.
The company occupies a central role in the London Market, providing the underlying technology for critical market services while simultaneously serving a broad base of individual brokers and insurers. DXC’s market position is defined by its ability to bridge the gap between traditional legacy infrastructure and modern cloud-native applications. As a major player on the New York Stock Exchange, DXC’s strategic moves often serve as a bellwether for the broader insurance technology landscape, particularly regarding how large-scale enterprises adopt artificial intelligence and automated workflows within highly regulated environments.
What FF News has reported before
FF News has closely tracked DXC Technology’s role in large-scale digital migrations and strategic expansions, with 20 previous reports on the company’s activities. In July 2026, we covered how DXC Technology Migrates 400,000 Wilton Re Policies to Cloud in Landmark 20-Year Partnership, a move that signaled the industry's shift toward long-term cloud stability. Earlier that year, we reported when DXC Introduces New Assure Smart Apps to Accelerate Insurers’ AI-Powered Transformation, marking the initial rollout of the modular AI tools mentioned in today’s announcement. Additionally, DXC’s broader influence in the financial ecosystem was highlighted when DXC Announces Strategic Partnership with Euronet to Expand Global Issuing and Payments Capabilities, demonstrating their reach beyond insurance into global payments infrastructure.
What this means from an insurtech perspective
This expansion moves the needle by prioritizing modularity over rip-and-replace strategies, directly addressing the modernization hurdles faced by carriers and MGAs. By integrating low-code configuration and automated underwriting and claims apps, DXC places pressure on incumbent vendors to deliver similar scalability. The integration with the London Market Core Platform is a significant shift for brokers and reinsurers, potentially standardizing how information is routed in complex trading environments. With 750,000 automated transactions already processed, the focus shifts to how legacy core-system modernization can coexist with AI without risking operational stability. For the broader industry, the challenge remains whether these automated workflows can maintain customer trust while managing the 11 million policies currently under Life and Wealth BPS.
