Designed for businesses with turnover between £10m and £1.5bn, the improved products will offer more tailored cover and practical support that reflects the changing risks facing UK businesses.

The cover is designed to support how wholesale and retail businesses operate today, as their operations become more complex and increasingly connected through supplier networks, international trading relationships and supply chain dependencies.

According to Allianz SME and mid-market research, 68% of UK business leaders say their business is vulnerable to supply chain disruption, reinforcing the need for cover and risk management support that reflects these operational realities.

“Wholesale and retail businesses are continuing to grow, and their operations are becoming more complex, from wider supplier networks to international trading relationships and increasing supply chain dependencies.” said Rob Carslake, Head of London Mid-Market at Allianz UK.

“The enhancements we’ve introduced reflect those realities, with increased standard product limits designed to provide a stronger foundation for brokers to discuss the individual needs of each business. Combined with our technical underwriting expertise and risk management support, we want to help customers build resilience, manage emerging risks and pursue growth with greater confidence.” said Rob Carslake, Head of London Mid-Market at Allianz UK.

The Wholesale & Retail refresh is the first in a series of updates planned through the second half of the year, with more sector propositions to follow.

Alongside the product refresh, Allianz UK is reinforcing its mid-market strategy with greater emphasis on industry specialisms, sector knowledge and technical expertise. Its regional trading teams, product specialists and sector experts are focused on helping brokers access local insight, technical underwriting support, risk management expertise and established claims capability through a more joined-up Allianz Commercial model.

“This refresh is an important step in strengthening our mid-market offering, but it also reflects the broader way we’re bringing together local trading relationships, deeper sector knowledge and technical expertise for brokers.” said Graham Stait, Director of UK Markets, Allianz UK.

“As we continue to grow in the mid-market, we’re focused on making it easier for brokers to access the right people, in the right regions and offices, with the specialist support behind them to find the right solutions for clients.” said Graham Stait, Director of UK Markets, Allianz UK.
