Saudi Arabia has officially launched a new third-party insurance policy specifically designed for crowded venues and high-risk activities. The initiative, spearheaded by the Insurance Authority (IA) in coordination with the Ministry of Interior and the Saudi Red Cross Authority, aims to enhance public safety and provide financial protection against unforeseen incidents at large-scale gatherings.

The mandatory policy covers a wide range of venues, including stadiums, entertainment zones, and areas hosting festivals or seasonal events. It is designed to ensure that organizers have the necessary coverage to compensate third parties for bodily injury or property damage that may occur during these activities. This move aligns with the Kingdom's Vision 2030 goals to bolster the tourism and entertainment sectors while maintaining rigorous safety standards.

According to the Insurance Authority, the policy will be a prerequisite for obtaining licenses to host events in the Kingdom. By standardizing these requirements, the government seeks to create a more resilient insurance market and provide peace of mind to both residents and international visitors participating in Saudi Arabia's growing calendar of global events.
